We constantly strip ourselves of possibility. The possibility for a long and full life. The possibility for us to share ourselves with another human being. We do this to 'protect' ourselves and justify that our illness is more than us. We ask for everyone to not look at us as a patient but we ourselves label ourselves as a patient. There isn't a rhyme or reason of how to live with a terminal illness. There isn't a book full of secrets or tips/hints on how to get through each day. Instead, there is just us, left to figure out our role in the world. I am on a journey to discover what my life is and what it can be. I believe in there greater good of humanity. I believe in changing the lives of any and every person possible.
We may not be able to speak face to face, but we can build a connection through words. This blog is here to record a journey, to share stories, to develop hope when it seems impossible and best of all, to create smiles of hope for a better tomorrow, a better year.
